Be careful when
it comes to choosing your Alaskan Travel Company...
A rock solid reputable
travel company, such
as YMT's AlaskaOffers, will always stand behind its product and
its customers. When times are good, any company can provide excellent
customer service. The true test of a company’s integrity is how well
customers are treated if the unforeseen happens...
■ July, 2002: An unexpected cancellation of the ms Ryndam cruise
through Alaska’s Inside Passage affected 160 Your Man Tours
passengers. All were promptly issued full refunds.
■ April, 2002: Carnival Cruise Line had problems with the air
conditioning, which called for immediate repairs. Hundreds of YMT
travelers were stranded. Your Man Tours gave them the choice to either
take a full refund for the unused portion of their trip, credits
toward a future trip, or an alternate Hawaiian vacation plus a partial
refund.
■ January, 2002: American Cruise Lines went bankrupt, stranding
Your Man Tours passengers. All were either refunded their money or put
on a brand new ship.
■ September, 2001: After the tragedy of the terrorist attacks in
New York, close to 5000 Your Man Tours
passengers were stranded en route to or from destinations. All were
refunded their money, or issued credits toward future trips. At a time
when the travel industry was clinging to every penny possible,
YMT put it's customers first.
■ November, 2000: Premier Cruise Lines went bankrupt and the ship
was repossessed in the middle of a cruise. 150 Your Man Tours
passengers onboard were taken off the cruise ship and flown home at
YMT’s expense, and 700 more were scheduled to cruise. All received
full refunds.
■ November, 1999: The Norwegian Sky ran aground in the Saguenay
Fjord near Halifax. Vacationers aboard the ship were affected, as well
as those scheduled to board the cruise ship. YMT passengers just
starting their tour, and those not yet on their tour, received a full
refund. Those just finishing their tour aboard the ship received a
refund for the unused portion of their tour. All received discounts
from Norwegian Cruise Lines for future cruises. |
