■ Day 1: Arrive in
Seattle, Washington
Passengers who have purchased
their airline tickets from Your Man Tours, Inc. should proceed to the
baggage claims area for meet and greet service and transfers to your
hotel. Enjoy a night tour of Seattle, catching the bustling city
illuminated with a multitude of night lights. |
|
 |
■ Day 2: Board Holland
America’s ms Zaandam in Vancouver, British Columbia
Your farewell to Seattle brings
the excitement of embarking on your luxurious Alaskan cruise with
Holland America. Take the afternoon and evening to get acquainted with
your floating palace, and begin to explore the amenities available to
enhance your adventure. |
 |
■ Day 3: Cruise Alaska’s
Inside Passage
Enjoy the beauty of Alaska’s
Inside Passage from aboard your ship. Take a stroll along the decks of
the ms Zaandam, swim in the outdoor pools, or simply find a
comfortable lounger and witness the splendor of Alaska’s landscape.
Perhaps take this time to plan and organize the sights you wish to see
at each Port of Call, ensuring that you won’t miss your must-sees at
each stop. |
|
 |
■ Day 4: Port of Call:
Ketchikan
Home to the world's largest
collection of Native American totem poles, Ketchikan is a great first
stop during your Alaskan cruise. You can stroll through the
picturesque waterfront district of this quaint boardwalk city built
atop stilts. Don’t worry if you didn’t see it all this day—you’ll be
back in Ketchikan again soon. |
 |
■ Day 5: Port of Call:
Juneau
Alaska's capital welcomes you in
the morning. Nestled at the feet of snowcapped Mt. Juneau and Mt.
Roberts, Juneau is nicknamed "Little San Francisco" because of its
narrow streets and flights of wooden steps hugging the hillside on
which its multicolored houses are built. With so much to see, it’s
great that you will have a second chance at the capital city. |
 |
■ Day 6: Port of Call:
Skagway
The birthplace of the Alaskan gold
rush, Skagway was the turbulent staging point for prospectors
hell-bent on getting to the Klondike gold fields. You can stroll the
weathered boardwalks and drop into old-time saloons or opt for a ride
in a vintage parlor car up the historic White Horse Pass, via the
narrow gauge railway. |
 |
■ Day 7: Cruise Glacier
Bay National Park
Instead of disembarking to
explore, let the sights come to you! Glacier Bay National Park, one of
Alaska's noblest and most impressive natural beauties, awaits to
enthrall you with the grandeur of glaciers, exotic wildlife, and raw
nature. You'll spend the entire day cruising a 60 mile passage,
passing glaciers galore, abundant wildlife and scenic beauty, unique
in all the world. Great chunks of the glaciers are continually falling
into the bay, with a deafening roar which enhances this fascinating
spectacle. |
 |
■ Day 8: Cruise College
Fjord
The epicenter of the most powerful
earthquake in US History, the Good Friday Earthquake, the College
Fjord offers you a fascinating view of the numerous tidewater glaciers
in Prince William Sound. Keep your eyes open and your cameras ready,
and try to catch a glimpse of up to eight glaciers simultaneously. |
 |
■ Day 9: Port of Call:
Seward
Walk along the streets of the city
that, in 1927, were home to the designer of Alaska’s state flag,
thirteen-year old Benny Benson. Perhaps trek slightly outside Seward
to witness the splendor of Kenai Fjords National Park and its easily
accessible Exit Glacier, or simply shop and dine within the city
limits. |
 |
■ Day 10: Cruise College
Fjord
Can’t get enough of the towering
glaciers? A second trek into the College Fjord will provide you with
another chance to witness the intricate splendor of these frozen
mountains. |
 |
■ Day 11: Cruise Glacier
Bay National Park
Enjoy more of the majesty of
Glacier Bay National Park, and see nothing but new and intriguing
sights along this ever-changing chilly wonderland. Or, allow yourself
to use more of the many amenities available aboard your 5-star liner. |
 |
■ Day 12: Port of Call:
Haines
This quaint stop along your
Alaskan adventure leads you into an area filled to the brim with
colorful culture. Visit the Sheldon Museum & Cultural Center to
witness the cultural diversity of the area, or peruse through the
Hammer Museum dedicated to the history of the important tool of human society. |
 |
■ Day 13: Port of Call:
Juneau
This second chance allows you the
opportunity to catch the parts of “Little San Francisco” that you
couldn’t squeeze into the first day. You can catch gold fever and pan
for gold, flight-see the Juneau Ice Field, or walk up to the
Mendenhall Glacier located just outside the city limits. |
 |
■ Day 14: Port of Call:
Ketchikan
Now is your occasion to meander
through the historic "Red Light" district of Ketchikan, and shop amid
storefronts filled with diverse souvenirs. Taste the distinctive eats
of "the salmon capital of the world," and enjoy the charming fishing
town’s friendly atmosphere. |
 |
■ Day 15: Cruise Alaska’s
Inside Passage
Take final advantage of the
amenities aboard your 5-star ship, all the while enjoying the last
glimpse of Alaskan Inside Passage your trip offers. |
 |
■ Day 16: Disembark in
Vancouver, Seattle City Tour
After a bittersweet farewell to
the ms Zaandam, you’ll head back into exciting Seattle, touring its
highlights by day. Take the evening to visit those highlights you
missed or want to revisit, and find that perfect cup of coffee in the
city renowned for its artisan selection. |
 |
■ Day 17: Depart from
Seattle
After such a busy Alaskan
adventure, you’ll be filled with wonderful memories as you make your
way back home. You’ll also have time to
